MATLAB and Simulink Seminars

Elephant-Sized Problems, Bite-Sized Solutions: Components and Interfaces in Simulink

Overview

Model Architecture sits at the core of good Model-Based Design (MBD) frameworks. In this webinar, we will present best practices and recommendations to optimize Simulink componentization for collaborative development, simulation performance, and testability.

Highlights

  • The different choices for componentization and their use cases: Subsystems, libraries, subsystem references and model references.
  • Recommendations to leverage the features of model reference.
  • The options for bringing in external components into Simulink: FMUs and C/C++ code.
  • Options for composite interfaces and best practices for using them.

About the Presenter

Brad Hieb holds a MS in Electrical Engineering and over 14 years of embedded systems design experience at Ford Motor Company including advanced engine controls development, Formula 1 powertrain and vehicle controls, and vehicle dynamics simulation activities.  At MathWorks, Brad focuses on the development and use of Large-Scale models for automotive system development.
