IFAC Symposium on Advances in Control Education (ACE) 2025

Advances in Control Education (ACE) serves as a premier forum that brings together control engineering academics from a wide range of disciplines. It bridges the domains of educational research and control engineering, focusing on innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and the integration of emerging technologies in education. The conference features cutting-edge online tools, benchmarking challenges, and investigative studies on best practices in control engineering education.

The global impact of the pandemic has significantly reshaped how control engineering is taught, prompting a heightened interest in pedagogical strategies and educational innovation. The 13th edition of ACE, held in Hamburg, highlighted the rapid evolution within the field and brought to light many emerging questions and trends.

In the three years since, education in control engineering has seen a notable shift toward interactive presentations, project-based learning, real-world industrial applications, and the widespread adoption of digital platforms and tools. Reflecting this progress, the upcoming ACE symposium will place increased emphasis on interactive sessions, expert panel discussions, and software demonstrations. These will encompass industrial demonstrations, academic-industry collaborative initiatives, technological tool showcases, and open educational resources.

The 14th edition of ACE will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from June 17–21, 2025, and promises to be a dynamic event fostering knowledge exchange and innovation in control education worldwide.

MathWorks is a silver sponsor, presenter, and exhibitor at this event.
