Become a MATLAB Student Ambassador

Lead technical events, build a campus community, and gain career-ready experience with MATLAB and Simulink.

MATLAB Student Ambassadors connect MathWorks with their universities. Based at campuses worldwide, they raise awareness of MATLAB and Simulink and showcase the products’ functionality—all while earning money.

How It Works

Position

Host two to three events per semester and share two to three social media posts each week. You may also contribute to additional projects.

Schedule

Work about five hours per week, with flexibility to fit your academic schedule. As a paid ambassador, you’ll earn money while gaining professional experience.

Support

Get training, resources, and ongoing guidance from technical and nontechnical MathWorks experts.

Collaboration

Collaborate with other ambassadors across your region to share ideas and build your network.

Teach, Learn, and Inspire

MATLAB expertise is not required. Training helps you get started quickly. Organize in-person and virtual events, connect with students and faculty, and share your interest in technical computing. As you go, deepen your knowledge and develop skills in communication, leadership, and time management.

Connect with Industry

Millions of engineers and scientists rely on MATLAB and Simulink in a wide range of applications and industries. Gain practical experience with a leading technical computing company while completing your studies.

MATLAB Student Ambassadors take on the role for different reasons—but all experience valuable benefits.

I believe that MATLAB Student Ambassadors can provide a benefit in terms of curricular and extracurricular innovative teaching activities by supporting students’ work and promoting participation in hackathons and competitions.
