HVAC Modeling & Simulation with Simulink and Simscape
Overview
This webinar shows how Simulink and Simscape can be used to model HVAC systems for analyzing different system architectures, predicting and optimizing energy consumption and operational costs, dimensioning of components, and designing control algorithms.
Simscape already offers many components in the typically required physical domains for thermo-liquid, gas, 2-phase fluid and moist air systems. The webinar also shows how custom components can be easily created based on a stratified charge storage tank.
Highlights
- HVAC system development using Model-Based Design
- Modeling an air-conditioning system in the 2-phase fluid and moist air domain
- Modeling a house heating system in the thermos-liquid domain
- Creating Customized Components (stratified storage tank, floor heater)
- Initialization of Fluid Models
