Description
ScanImage® (formerly by Vidrio Technologies) is a software package for controlling laser scanning microscopes. It provides researchers exquisite control of their microscopes and animal behavioral apparatus, providing precise synchronization between neuronal activity imaging and behavior observations. The software automates image collection and allows animal behavioral data to be correlated with neuronal activity.
ScanImage is written in MATLAB® and is fully scriptable and customizable. It uses the powerful vDAQ™ data acquisition hardware to control all components of the microscope and to enable cutting edge microscopy techniques such as time correlated single photon counting and time multiplexed image acquisition. ScanImage and vDAQ™ are at the heart of the world’s leading 2-photon and 3-photon microscopes.
