      Associating X and Y with a Surface

      This video shows you how to associate a specific x and y scaling to a surface. Very often people will just use the Z matrix (the height of the surface) not knowing you have more control than that.

      Often if you make a surface plot with SURF for a large dataset, it will appear all black because MATLAB is trying to draw all the edge lines. You can stop these lines from obscuring your data by turning the edge color off.
