MATLAB Meets MINDSTORMS: How to Control LEGO NXT Robots Using MATLAB for Educational Purposes

This session provides a quick introduction on using MATLAB® to control LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT robots. Get an overview of the basic functionalities of the RWTH Aachen LEGO MINDSTORMS Toolbox, which runs on MATLAB, including the reading of sensor data and control of motor drives. This presentation shows you how to quickly design, control, and debug your custom robots using MATLAB. Useful advice and guidelines for employing MATLAB and MINDSTORMS for educational purposes are also given.
