MATLAB and Open Source | MATLAB Oil and Gas Conference 2019
From the series: MATLAB Oil and Gas Conference 2019
Gustavo Sanchez, Pandata Tech
Gustavo discusses data quality solutions for critical decision making in processes, such as predictive maintenance. He shows the Data Quality Method for improving data input in a fraction of the time it takes to clean and validate data manually. The approach validates, labels, and tags data, and provides a quality score from 0 to 100 for each time series, so users immediately know the level of quality and usefulness of their data. It uses machine learning and AI to decrease repetitive, time-intensive tasks for data professionals.
In this talk, Gustavo Sanchez talks about their technology and how they use MATLAB. In addition, he also addresses some common misconceptions about MATLAB vs Open Source (R and Python). These include apps, cost, technical support and consulting, documentation and flexibility.
