System Architectural Design According to Automotive SPICE Using the MathWorks Toolchain
Felix Raab, Robert Bosch GmbH
Automotive SPICE is applied in the development of electronic control units of Robert Bosch powertrain systems. Special challenges are the large amounts of projects and customer-driven variance in the design, which lead to increased efforts in the creation of system architectural design models based on a SysML/UML approach.
As Simulink® is a well-known tool for software engineering in Robert Bosch powertrain systems, the MathWorks toolchain is used as an alternative. System Composer™ is used to create the functional architecture and logical architecture including automated generation of models. Requirements Toolbox™ is used for allocation and traceability to requirements. The dynamic behavior of the system is described with Simulink and Stateflow®.
The solution is proven by use in several customer accounts including Automotive SPICE assessment.
