What Is Simulink Support Package for Android Devices?
You can design signal or image processing algorithms in Simulink®, fine-tune them, and, with a click of a button, you can deploy the finished models as applications to your Android™ device.
Simulink Support Package for Android Devices includes a wide array of Simulink blocks. They can access the sensors on your device, capturing and playing audio or video; creating customizable UI widgets such as sliders, buttons, text, or scopes; and communicating with other devices through interfaces such as TCP/IP, UDP, USB Serial, or Bluetooth®. With the MATLAB® Function block, you can incorporate MATLAB code into your Simulink model for deployment.
The support package generates Android Studio–compatible projects, and, if needed, you can create and integrate a custom user interface. It is also possible to generate code for an algorithm developed in Simulink and integrate it within an existing Android application using Android Studio.
The support package comes with plenty of ready-to-deploy examples spanning across different domains including audio processing, Image processing, IoT, machine learning, and deep learning. It also includes examples that showcase additional capabilities such as communicating with embedded development boards (for example, an Arduino® or a Raspberry Pi™).
