Libraries:
Simscape Acoustics / Acoustic Sources

Description

Add-On Required: This feature requires the Simscape Acoustics add-on.

The Volume Velocity Source block represents an ideal volume velocity source that maintains sinusoidal volume velocity through its output terminals, independent of the pressure across its terminals.

The output volume velocity is defined by the equation

U=U0+U1sin(2πFt+ϕ)

where:

  • U is the volume velocity.

  • U0 is static flow.

  • U1 is peak dynamic flow.

  • F is frequency.

  • φ is phase shift.

  • t is time.

Ports

Conserving

Acoustic conserving port associated with the positive terminal.

Acoustic conserving port associated with the negative terminal.

Parameters

expand all

Static flow, specified in m3/s.

Peak dynamic flow, specified in m3/s.

Phase shift, specified in radians.

Volume velocity frequency, specified in Hz.
