Ryze Tello Shuts Down When Idle
Description
The Ryze Tello drone switches off automatically when kept idle for a minute or two. This happens due to over-heating of the drone’s chipset.
The drone’s heat vent is built underneath the drone and there is no built-in cooling fan. As a result, the drone shuts down automatically if it’s left idle for too long after turning it on or placing it on the ground or desktop after a flight.
Action
If for some reason you need to keep the drone powered on without flying it, hold it in the air which will allow airflow to cool the chipset.
