Issues While Calling mmWaveRadar Object

Issue

  • Calling the mmWaveRadar object fails with the following errors or warnings:

    • The command sent to the board errored with the following message ………

    • The command sent to the board responded with a message other than 'Done'. The following response is received from the board ……

      Unrecognized command received for configuration. The command is not supported by the function mmWaveRadar.

  • You do not receive any response from the TI mmWaveRadar and a timeout occurs.

Solution

  • Check the Configuration (.cfg) file and ensure that all the commands used are supported by the specific Texas Instruments® mmWave radar sensor.

  • Ensure that the correct board name is specified while you create the object. Check the property BoardName to see the name specified.

  • If some of the commands in Config file are changed, then the board may need a reset and/or reboot. Follow the below steps and try again:

    1. Clear the mmWaveRadar object.

    2. Reset and/or reboot the board.

    3. Try again with new configuration.
