Description
Specify the bit rate used during the arbitration phase of CAN FD communication.
The nominal bitrate applies to the initial portion of the CAN FD frame, including the start of frame (SOF), arbitration field, and control field up to the bit rate switch (BRS) bit. All nodes on the CAN bus must use the same nominal bitrate to ensure successful arbitration. The selected nominal bitrate determines the range of valid values for the Data bitrate (kbps). The maximum nominal bitrate for CAN FD is 1000 kbps (same as classical CAN).
Dependencies
To enable this parameter, set Interface configuration to
Specify via Simulink and set CAN protocol
to CAN FD. To enable this parameter for additional interfaces, set
Number of interfaces to a value greater than or equal to the
interface number.
Settings
500 (default) | 5 through 1000Select the nominal bitrate in kilobits per second.
500(default)500 kbps nominal bitrate. This is a common arbitration phase bit rate for CAN FD networks that maintains compatibility with Classical CAN nodes during arbitration.

Available bit rates: 5, 10, 20, 40, 50, 80, 100, 125, 200, 250, 500, 1000 kbps. The maximum nominal bitrate is 1000 kbps (1 Mbps), which is the same as the Classical CAN maximum.
