Rotational World (AB)

Stationary reference frame for angle-based rotational network

Since R2026a

  • Rotational World (AB) block

Libraries:
Simscape / Foundation Library / Rotational / Elements

Description

The Rotational World (AB) block represents a stationary reference for the world frame. All angles are relative to the reference. Connecting a port of another block to the Rotational World (AB) block sets its angle and angular velocity to zero.

An angle-based rotational network can have multiple Rotational World (AB) blocks because a rotational system in real life can have multiple stationary points. To model a stationary point at a nonzero angle, connect a Rotational World (AB) block to a Rotational Spacer (AB) block.
