Select Bluetooth Drivers for Connecting Parrot Minidrone to Windows
This section helps you to select the Bluetooth® drivers for connecting Parrot® minidrone to Windows®.
CSR 4.0 Bluetooth Dongle and CSR Bluetooth Drivers
Use this option, if you have a CSR 4.0 dongle and the drivers CD. Using this option provides these advantages.
Supports connecting to both Parrot Mambo minidrone and Parrot Rolling Spider.
Provides a reliable connection. So this is the recommended workflow for connecting Parrot minidrones to Windows.
CSR 4.0 dongle and drivers CD might be difficult to procure due to limited availability. In such a scenario, try connecting Parrot minidrone to Windows using built-in Bluetooth module or generic Bluetooth dongle. Built-In Bluetooth Module or Generic Bluetooth Dongle with Windows Bluetooth Drivers
Use this option if you do not have a CSR 4.0 dongle or the drivers CD. Using this option provides these advantages.
Supports generic dongle and built-in Bluetooth module. You can also use CSR 4.0 dongle (without installing the CSR drivers).
Windows automatically installs the required drivers.
Supports connecting to Parrot Mambo minidrone. However, connecting to Parrot Rolling Spider is not supported.
Note
These Bluetooth dongles are tested and works reliably.
Bluetooth 2.0 dongle
Bluetooth 4.0 dongle (tested with CSR 4.0 Bluetooth dongle. However, TP-Link 4.0 dongle did not work reliably during testing.)
Bluetooth 5.0 dongle
