Possibility to run Simscape Multibody model without Simscape Multibody license using Restricted Mode

Hello all,
I would like to know if it is possible to run a Simscape Multibody model (created by someone else), without needing the Simscape Multibody license (ie: only using the Simscape license), when opening the model in "Restricted Mode" (no need for modifications from my side).
Based on this link and another community question, we had the feeling that this might be possible.
When we tried this, we currently get the following error, telling us we would need Full mode to continue:
However:
  • As far as I know, there are no modifications done from my side, I just downloaded the project/model and tried to run it. Unless maybe there are changes happening under the hood?
  • The version I use to run the model and the version used to create the model are the same (Matlab R2020b)
Would it be possible to succeed in running such Simscape model (if so, what could be the reason of the error above) or would a Simscape Multibody license be required?
Thanks in advance.
Steven

Hi Steven,
Can you share the model?
I can think of a few things:
  1. There are MATLAB commands in the PostLoadFcn or in a mask initialization that are changing settings of the Simscape network.
  2. The model has a link to a library that was saved in an earlier release, and the process of updating the model to the current release is triggering this error.

Hello Steve,
Thank you for your feedback!
I have checked internally and the author has let me know that normally there are no callbacks impacting the Simscape network nor any models or libraries that have been saved in a different release.
As requested, I have added the model in attachment, hopefully that gives some insight.
