Kinematic constraints cannot be maintained

I am trying to impart motion into a manipulator arm multibody model using a joystick input to command motion of a bushing joint attached to the gripper frame. The model will translate in every axis and rotate about the y-axis but when I try to revolve around the x-axis the kinematic constraints error terminates the simulation. I can share the files if anyone would like to take a deeper look.
