I need to Integrate Winzip into a Matlab ETL program that incorperates uigetfile and uiputfile. Does anyone have experience with this before?

I need to integrate winzip into a matlab ETL program that incorperates uigetfile and uiputfile. Does anyone have experience with this before? The zip/unzip function is way too slow on large airline blackbox files....
.zip -> gz -> lts -> .csv !goal!
