Dear MATLAB:

I have a perpetual MATLAB license and is currently installed on my computer. Beacuse my current computer will be retried soon and a new computer will be used instead, can you please tell me the steps to re-install MATLAB on the new computer (and/or how to un-install the current installation on the old computer)? Thank you very much!

https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/142388-how-do-i-transfer-a-student-or-home-license-to-a-new-computer#answer_145612 talks specifically about Student and Home licenses, but the steps to follow are the same for Commercial / Standard "Named User" licenses.

Note that if you have a Commercial / Standard "Named User" license then you are permitted to activate on up to four hosts simulatenously, so you might want to install and activate on the new machine before deactivating on the old machine.
