how to store xy coordinates for each frame????

I am trying to compare the xy coordinates of centroid of current frame with the xy coordinates of centroid of previous frame on matlab, but i don't know how to save the coordinates of previous frame in such a way that I can use them in current frame.. My aim is to find 'Xcurrent-Xprevious ' in order to find change in X axis so that i can generate a command of move left or right.
my aim is to generate a command for arduino on the basis of x from previous frame and current frame.
