I'm trying to use xlsread or readtable but Matlab cannot read my excel file. I've been looking this issue on internet for 6 hours and this is getting annoying. I couldn't find anything helpful. If anybody could help me I would be appreciated. I'm using Matlab2020b by the way.

What specifically happens when you try to use xlsread or readtable to read your spreadsheet?
  • Do you receive an error and/or a warning message? If so show us the full and exact text of the error or warning message (all the text displayed in red and/or orange) that you receive when you run those commands.
  • Do you receive different results than you expected? If so show us the results you receive and describe the results that you expected, explaining why you believe your expected results are the correct results.
  • Did MATLAB crash or stall when trying to read the data? If it crashed, please contact Technical Support using the link under "My Support" on the Support section of this website and send them the crash log file.
  • Did something else happen? If so please describe what happened in detail.
Please also show us the exact command you're using to try to read the data and indicate which operating system you're using.
