Apply image position data to an image (Excel data)

There are multiple dots in one image.
Also, I have the location data of the points in Excel, so I want to apply that data to the image.
I would like to see in the image how much difference appears between that point and the excel data.
I wonder if there is a suitable example or method.

You forgot to attach the Excel workbook. Does it contain 3 columns of (x, y, gray level)? Or 5 if color (x, y, r, g, b)? Or 3 like (row, column, gray level) or 5 is (row, column, r, g, b)? To get a difference you can subtract the values.

You can check that visually by plotting the dots on the image.
I = imread(myimage) ;
T = readtable(myexcelfile) ; % assuming excel files has two columns (x,y)
% plot
imshow(I)
hold on
plot(T.(1),T.(2),'+r')
