To perform sentiment analysis on Whatsapp data, it's necessary to structure them, separating the text's strings from the sender and the sending time. You can just copy-paste your chat on excel, then remove the rows that don't respect the classic formatting (that is as shown in this example: "[12:46, 10/7/2020] Eugenio Bertolini: Thank you"), leaving them as missing values. After, use this function to import and reorganize the information contained in the Whatsapp raw data, as shown below:
