- User- or externally triggered programmatic stimulation
Description
The CereStim R96 is a fully programmable, current-controlled Neuro-Stimulator with 96 output channels, capable of producing up to 16 simultaneous stimuli. The biphasic current pulses generated by the CereStim R96 are intended to stimulate the neurons in proximity to a set of either implanted micro electrodes or surface-contacting macro electrodes, depending on the configuration.
The StimMEX MATLAB® API allows real-time control and configuration of the Blackrock Cerestim R96 Neural Stimulator to stimulate neural tissue using MATLAB scripts. The StimMEX API allows fluid integration with Blackrock's data acquisition MATLAB API, cbMEX, for programmatic, closed-loop neuroscience applications.
Beyond the full data and data flow environment of MATLAB that Blackrock has created with its recording API and data loaders, MATLAB products extend the stack of neuroscience coverage through stimulation capabilities with StimMEX.
