miRadar 8
MIMO radar platform
Highlights
- Employ a 24 GHz radar band that allows anyone to use it without requiring a license
- Adopt a MIMO radar system that allows you to detect a target in azimuth ± 45° at a high accuracy
- Realize a thin (6 mm thick) radar platform by adopting an advanced device
- Construct a system by only connecting one USB cable to a PC
- Use the evaluation kit for research (a software kit is available)
Description
miRadar 8 is a thin radar sensor module that enables you to detect a target in a wide range of azimuth at a high accuracy with MIMO (multi-input multi-output) radar technology. This module can accurately specify the azimuth angle of the target, so it is suitable for various applications, such as driving safety and building security and social welfare service robots. Anyone can easily experience radar operation by connecting a USB to a PC. Of course, you don’t need a license since it uses 24 GHz band (ISM band) frequency.
You can import the data received by miRadar 8 into MATLAB®. In addition, you can perform more advanced visualization and analysis using a library of optional signal processing functions.
