Description

MotorXP is a software tool for the design, analysis, and optimization of electric machines—including permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSM), interior permanent magnet (IPM) motors, brushless DC (BLDC) motors, synchronous reluctance (SynRM), and switched reluctance (SRM) motors—supporting both axial and radial flux topologies. The tool is widely used across automotive, aerospace, eVTOL, robotics, industrial, and HVAC applications.

The combination of finite element analysis and analytical methods streamlines the motor design process across all stages—from concept development to system integration—offering a flexible balance between simulation speed and accuracy.

The built-in FEA solver supports integration with external MATLAB® files, enabling advanced control over connected electrical circuits, PWM strategies, and voltage and current waveforms.

MotorXP can also be used to parameterize Simscape™ PMSM block models, facilitating integration with MATLAB and Simulink® environments.

Automatic motor design optimization routines are based on MATLAB and can be fully customized via user-defined MATLAB files, providing engineers with the flexibility to tailor optimization workflows to their specific design goals.
