Performing Power System Studies, Part 4: Working with Large Amounts of Simulation Data
From the series: Performing Power System Studies
A common challenge with performing power system studies is that the amount of data generated can be larger than available system memory. It may be that one file is larger than available memory, or that you have a large number of files generated through Monte-Carlo simulation and the aggregated files are larger than available memory. In these situations, you can use memory mapping to point to the files and enable extraction of the portions of data of interest. In this presentation we look at the techniques available with MATLAB® and Simulink® tools for accessing, managing, and analyzing large amounts of simulation data.
