Shanghai University of Finance and Economics
1st Place and MATLAB Innovation Award: China Graduate Financial Data Modeling Contest 2024
Utilizing MATLAB's powerful matrix and numerical computation capabilities, Team 2024003 from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics processed tens of millions of funds and stock data points, developed innovative stock investment strategies based on information about fund heavyweight stocks, and evaluated the performance of these strategies through backtesting.

1st place: Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop 2024
A Simulink model was implemented to simulate the flight dynamics of the aircraft, with the objective of optimizing range and flight time during the rocket's gliding phase. A PID controller was designed and integrated into the model to control the elevator pitch angle to achieve this goal.
Furthermore, MATLAB was used to analyze the resonance frequencies of the sloshing phenomenon caused by the partially filled tank, which was essential for the subsequent CFD simulation.

2nd Runner up: SAEINDIA AeroTHON 2024
The team developed a PID Controller and optimized values for the motors of drone through extensive testing. Using MATLAB and Simulink models, we fine-tuned these values to achieve enhanced stability and performance in Roll, Pitch, and Yaw control. By iteratively adjusting the proportional, integral, and derivative parameters, we ensured smoother dynamic response and greater precision.

1st Place – Granted Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Trophy: TESA Top Gun Rally 2024
The Resonance team used MATLAB for advanced signal processing, including FFT analysis, and machine learning to train and implement a Random Forest Classifier for fault detection. Simulink facilitated the real-time modeling and integration of algorithms into Raspberry Pi for efficient edge computation, ensuring accuracy and rapid response in detecting machine anomalies.

1st place: RoboCup Soccer Small Size League Division B - 2024
The Ri-one team utilized a Kalman filter in the SSL league to eliminate noise from the raw data, thereby improving the accuracy of their simulations. As a result, the team resolved issues such as the sudden loss of coordinate data received by the robots and unstable behavior during stops, significantly contributing to the team's victory.

The University of Texas at Dallas
1st place: IEEE International Future Energy Challenge - 2024
The undergraduate team at UT Dallas used MATLAB and Simulink to develop a control loop for their Audio Amplifier capable of achieving minimal distortion and noise. They also used Simulink’s Frequency Response Estimator to ensure the system's stability.
