Plant Modeling | Virtual Commissioning of Production Machines, Part 2

The first step of virtual commissioning is modeling machine dynamics. Different methods can be used for modeling system behavior. First, you can build a Simulink^® model based on the mathematical equations describing dynamics of the web. You can then create a higher-fidelity model in Simspace™ by including dynamics of one pair of rollers into the model. Next, a model can be quickly modified to include two pairs of rollers instead of one. Simulate system dynamics each time the plant model is changed to see how modeling choices impact simulation results.
