Description
Add-On Required: This feature requires the Simscape Acoustics add-on.
The Far-Field Pressure Sensor block calculates the radiated on-axis far-field pressure from the volume velocity, assuming radiation from an infinite baffle and that the source is small compared to the wavelength.
The on-axis far-field pressure from the (infinitely) baffled circular piston when the source is small compared to the wavelength is
where:
Pff is pressure.
U is the volume velocity.
ρ is air density.
D is distance.
t is time.
