Configure Simscape Model with Mapped Engine Variants
R2026bThis example shows the steps for configuring a conventional or hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) in the Virtual Vehicle Composer app using the Simscape™ template with a mapped spark-ignition (SI) or compression-ignition (CI) engine and controller. The example also shows how to optionally resize the engine before generating the vehicle model. The mapped engine provides more options to adjust calibration settings and analyze the effects of engine size and calibration on vehicle performance.
Note
If you want to resize the engine, you edit a block mask callback in Step 2 and then run the resize operation from the engine dynamometer model. This step is optional.
