2-Position Valve Actuator
This example demonstrates the Multiposition Valve Actuator block with two positions. The same signal controls two valve actuators, but the actuators use different values of the Switching-on time, Switching-off time, and Initial position parameters.
Model
Simulation Results from Scopes
These plots show the behaviors of the two valve actuators. When the time is 2 seconds, a pulse about 1 second long applies to both actuators. The values of the Initial position parameter of the Valve Actuator 1 and 2 are Retracted
and Extended
, respectively. Actuator 2 shifts to the neutral position in the initial period before the pulse applies. Each actuator position reaches the push-pin stroke upon receiving the pulse, and the duration of each extension is the specified switching-on time. When the signal value reduces to zero, the position returns to zero over the specified switching-off time.
