Controller HIL Testing for NPC Solar Inverters
This example demonstrates how to model and simulate a grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system integrated with a three-phase Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) inverter, including PV array characteristics, MPPT algorithm, and grid synchronization. You connect the plant model to an embedded controller in a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) setup, test the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm interactively from MATLAB® and Simulink®, and optimize the HIL system for high sampling rates and minimal I/O latency to support real-time power electronics control.
Note
The model in this example is tested and shipped by Speedgoat®. For more information, see Controller HIL Testing for NPC Solar Inverters example.
