palette and index changes

Swapping is done in palette

This is the to swap the position
This is my changed Palette

This palette changes my index matrix also.. index matrix 2185x1575
for example 0 will be replaced by 3 and 3 to 0
Palette affect the index matix also
Pls anyone help me

idx=1:numel(Palette);
k=[1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8];
l=[4 8 1 1 1 1 4 4];
for ii=1:numel(k)
a=Palette(k(ii));
Palette(k(ii))=Palette(k(ii));
Palette(l(ii))=a;
i1=idx(k(ii));
idx(k(ii))=idx(l(ii));
idx(l(ii))=i1;
end
disp(idx)
disp(Palette)
