About Matlab Support for C2000 Piccolo LaunchPad.

Hello.
I have already read the support that Matlab provides for C2000. ( http://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/ti-c2000.html )
But i would like to know for sure if the only way that Matlab connects to the C2000 launchpad is by using Code Composer Studio (Ti's IDE for C2000). Can i connect matlab to C2000 without the Code composer studio?
Thanks in advance.
Rafael

Yes, you can connect to C2000 without using Code Composer.
I have no estimate at all of the amount of effort it would take to write the infrastructure yourself.

Thanks for the answer Walter Roberson.
My ideia is to perform a real-time application.
For this it would be great if i could communicate Matlab directly with C2000. Reading the official page of Matlab (<http://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/ti-c2000.html)>, i tought that the the only support was loading the .out file generated by matlab with CCS.
I havent found some useful information about real time aplications envolving matlab and C2000 so i have no ideia how to connect them not using the .out file generated. The only information i found, about real-time, was was using CCS. If you have any leads where i can get started to communicate without the CCS it would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

It has a UART, so you can communicate with it while it is running.
Writing appropriate compilers and tools to use it without CCS could potentially be the work of years -- but it can be done.

Thanks a lot Walter Roberson. It has clarified my doubts.
