Which experimenter kit should I choose for using PIL verification with Embedded coder

Hello,
I read Mathworks' document for using PIL verification with Embedded Coder:

I want to do PIL verification with Mathworks tool Embedded Coder. In the document, I saw that for doing that, I should have my C2000 processor communicate with PC host via SCI during the simulation. I'm thinking buying a experimenter kit from TI:
TMS320F28335 Experimenter Kit http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdsdock28335
or
C2000 Peripheral Explorer Kit http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/sprugm2a/sprugm2a.pdf
Can anyone tell me if it is suitable for using PIL verification with Embedded coder.
