Why is the Simulink model ignored in the co-simulation with MSC Adams?

Hi
Maybe this is not the right place to ask this question but I willl give it a try. I am working on a project where I want to run a co-simulation between Simulink and MSC Adams. I have a model of a vehicle in Adams while the suspension system is modelled in simulink. One option is to submit commands to the Adams model before the co-simulation process starts by using initialization commands. These commands are stored in an acf file and loaded in Matlab with the following command: ['file/command=myfile.acf'].
This works fine until the co-simulation starts, it seems like Adams ignores the simulink model, so there is no data exchanged between the programs. While if I don't use the this initialization command, the co-simulation works fine. Is there by any chance someone here who knows why this is happening and how this can be solved.
Any help is very appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
