As of R2021a, attempting to sort a table by a column now pops up a dialog to specify whether to sort in ascending or descending order.

This is a nuisance, requiring I find the dialog on my busy desktop. Formerly, clicking the sort down arrow sorted in one order or the other, and clicking it again sorted in the reverse order. Simple. Can I get that behavior back? I don't see where to control it.

@jkr are you referring to a UITable? If so, how did you add the sorting option?

Yes to Image Analyst. Load the table into the workspace. Double click on the variable in the workspace, and it is displayed as a table. Hover the mouse pointer over any column head, and a down arrow is displayed. It is the behavior upon clicking this arrow that I am describing. The pop-up dialog shown in the screenshot below appears. It did not before. I have used this functionality for years.
