Determining frequency component to establish a cutoff frequency

3 次查看(过去 30 天)
Hi,
I have built a device which aims to monitor the forces of an impact which has both horizontal (~4 m/s) and vertical components (~3.4 m/s). As the interaction is at relatively high speed there is a lot of noise in the signal which I require to be filtered, therefore, I am trying to perfrom a fourier transfrom analysis to determine the frequency components of the signal to establish a suitable cutoff frequency.
I have tried using the fft fucntion: Y = fft(X) which produces an endless returns of NaN + NaNi.
Through further investigation I have established my waveform requires DTFT (discrete time fourier transform) analysis, however, I cannot find a matlab function/code that I can use to produce any meaningful data.
Attached is an excel spreadsheet of my raw volatges (which I want to perfrom the discrete time fourier transform analysis on) and the calculations to determine acceleration, velocity and displacement.
Any help is much apprieciated and thank you in advance for your help.
