How to include a slider GUI in a Simuink Model?

Hi,
I'm new to GUI concept. Can anybody guide me how to add a slider GUI in an existing simulink model and how to get a value (eg: 0 or 0.5 or 1) when slider is moved during simulation.

You could potentially build a slider as part of a mask.
Otherwise there are more complex ways of implementing GUI's with MATLAB functions.
