Information on lost frames using getdata Matlab

I am having lost packets using a GigE camera operating at 300 fps. The problem is, I need to know when I lost the packet. I tried getting metadata information from "getdata" function in matlab, but it seems the timing and the frame number information returned is basically the time the frame is recorded on the CPU memory, and not on the camera. Is there any way to know which particular frame I lost based on information from camera capture?
