Cant Find Colspace Function

I was trying to use the Colspace function to verify a solution to a problem I am working on. I have MATLAB 2011b and version 5.7 of the Symbolic Math Toolbox is included with my license. The function doesn't show up when I type colspace and hit tab. If anyone knows how to fix this problem I would appreciate the help.

Hi, I did not know what do you mean when the function does not show up. Sometimes people try to use colspace on direct numeric arrays instead of defining them as symbols. They misinterpret from MATLAB that colspace works on both numeric and symbolic arrays.
So, reply back mentioning whether your problem is this or something else so that i would be able to help you better.

Oops :) That was my problem. I was thrown off because normally I can start typing a command into the GUI and hit tab to show me the command. This time if I type "colspace" into the GUI and hit tab it doesn't show the command at all. After I changed my array to a symbolic type it worked perfectly. Thank you very much for your help.
