I have below code, I want to put msgbox and input from the user on the same dialog box, is there any way I can do it?

for d_i = 1:length(data_files_all)
            msg_box_loop{d_i}=(sprintf([ '(%02d) %s \n'], d_i, data_files_all(d_i).name))
end
msgbox(msg_box_loop)
pat_idstr = input('Choose from above options: ', 's');

I suggest reading the documentation for listdlg to see if it will do what you want.

You can build your custom dialog as an appdesigner app and call it from your main app. You will have full access to any uicontrol data of your custom dialog.
