Where can I get the trial activation key?

I downloaded the Matlab trial for 30 days.
I an trying to installing it but the program is aking for an activation key that I have not received. Where can I find it?

Hi Angela,
You can try rechecking your mail in the spam folder for the activation key .If the mail is not present please contact the Mathwork Support team.

Usually activation key is needed for even trial versions and you may not even get an activation key , even if you register. This is mathworks way for forcing you to register and ensuring that you buy their license.

It is required to create a Mathworks Central account in order to get a trial license. Mathworks Central accounts are free and fairly easy to create.
It is not required to buy a license to get a trial license. It is not required to fill out any kind of payment method to obtain a trial license.
Not everyone is eligible for trial licenses.
  • people in countries that have US State Department economic sanctions against them are usually not eligible for (any kind of) license
  • people in countries where distributors are used, must go through the distributor to obtain the license
  • some individuals just get banned, for abusing Mathworks resources or violating Mathworks licenses
  • there might be other reasons for denying licenses, such as having requested too many trial licenses
