i as student at uitm and i have final year project that the title is car plate identifier using auto gate system.my project is use matlab software to create that project.so how do to first after install the matlab?.i need do the extraction,segmentation and recognition about the car plate image of low lighting.hope u will help me

By typing MATLAB car numberplate into an internet search engine I got 63,400 hits, and a search for MATLAB install got over one million... did you read any of those?

This question is too broad and please follow Stephen's answer as a first step. It is crucial to be direct to the point when asking a question in this forum, this way you would contribute effectively in the MATLAB community.

Second step is maybe going through the MATLAB Documentation, I can not go to a C++ forum and tell them, abra kadabra I need to be a C++ master. Therefore it is important to do baby steps. Try to start by programing small stuff, like fibonacci numbers to get the MATLAB logic juices flowing.

Third step, after getting to know MATLAB and its basics you should go through its image processing toolbox and its machine learning toolbox to better guide you with this. I do not want to scare you, but it seems you are biting more than you can chew. If you do not have the sufficient requirements and don't have time for MATLAB, maybe that final year project is not for you...
