In order for the community to help, could you please share additional context about your workflow?
For example:
  1. Does a single image correspond to a single XML file? Or, are several images embedded/encoded/referenced inside of a single XML file?
  2. Are all of your images stored in the same directory?
  3. What does the XML structure look like?
  4. What is your overall workflow?
