Hi Giho,
If the Shapefile contains sufficient details such as lane information, lane boundary geometry, and potentially elevation or other road attributes, you can use this data to generate an RRHD map. The following are the key steps to achieve OpenDRIVE using a Shapefile with a RoadRunner HD map. The attached example provides a detailed workflow, though it uses a KML file instead. The process will still be applicable.
Example: Pikes Peak Example
Step 1: Convert Shapefile
Convert the Shapefile into RoadRunner HD map format, ensuring that lane information, lane boundaries, and other relevant road attributes are correctly integrated. Verify the Shapefile for compatibility before proceeding with the RRHD map generation.
Step 2: Add Elevation Data if Missing in the Shapefile
If the Shapefile does not contain elevation data, download terrain data for the area as demonstrated in the example above to include elevation information for the roads.
Step 3: Create and Import the RoadRunner HD Map
Generate the RoadRunner HD map and import it into RoadRunner by adding the file to a folder in the Library Browser, then dragging it into the scene.
Step 4: Export the RoadRunner Scene to OpenDRIVE
Export the RoadRunner scene to OpenDRIVE using the export menu options.
