When I run code here at Answers, generated figures are now much, much smaller than they used to be. (I can't remember how long this has been going on, or even if it happens every time.)

Yes. Seems to be an issue for users that updated to and posting from Windows 11? That seemed to be the issue discussed here.

It seems not to be consistent. Thses plots seem appropriately-sized —
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid
figure
plot(x, [y1; y2; y1.*y2+randn(size(x))/10])
grid

Let's see ...
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid

Strange.
My plots seem to be normal when I plot them, even when I look at the later, although your version of my first plot is definitely reduced.
Are you seeing my plots as normal or reduced?

@Star Strider, your plots seems normal to me on Windows 11 - Google Chrome (latest version). However, the plots by @the cyclist are small to me as well.
I have seen this behaviour earlier as well, but sparsely. I will link them here if I find any.
I will check this on my personal PC and update here when I get back home.
Edit - The behaviour is still the same (as mentioned above) on Windows 10 - Mozilla Firefox (latest version).

Something has definitely changed, and I'm not using Windows 11.
But in this very recent thread, the plot has shrunk. As reported by @William Rose and/or @Torsten, the plots in the recent thread looked normal when I was editing the post, but then got smaller afer I click submi (though not has much as suffered by others).

My hypothesis is that it might have to do with which browser is being used by the person submitting the code.

I use Chrome.
But I'll post this reply with generated figure from Safari.
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid

Is the relative size affected by the zoom level of the display you're using in the browser? What is your browser's zoom level?

% Edge: Zoom 150%
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid

% Edge: Zoom 100%
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid

But my plot with 100% zoom is still not as big (nor as bright) as @Star Strider's plots in this comment.
Hmm, maybe Star had a zoom level less than 100%?

I get the same results as posted here in Firefox, DuckDuckGo, and Edge (the only browsers I currently have installed). The zoom levels are all between 80% - 100% in my various browsers, however the scale differences persist and are the same in each. For me, the plots in my earlier Comment are all larger than all the others, the others being diminished to about ½ the size (both width and height) with respect to mine.
I obviously have no idea what others are seeing, or if each person’s own plots are scaled differently for them than the others, as mine are for me.
I attacned an Edge screenshot. (it saved as .jpg, I didn’t see other available options or I’d have chosen .png.)

Zoom level does affect it! Here, I have zoomed down to 50%
x = 0:0.01:5;
y1 = sin(2*pi*x);
y2 = cos(2*pi*x);
figure
plot(x, y1)
grid

Firefox... I confirm that zooming down to 50% results in a larger final plot.
