UART communication between F28379D (using C2000 microntroller blocksets) and arduino uno

I am trying to communicate using UART between TMS320 F28379D using C2000 micrcontroller blocksets. and Arduino Uno. I am facing difficulty in transmitting correct data to the arduino...the data i want to transmit is of floating point with 2 decimal places....suppose i use SCI_C transmit and use a single precision data conversion before sending that data to the SCI_C transmit block what things i need to handle at the arduino side to recieve the data correctly.....also can you specify what should be the appropriate sample time for the transmit block?
